Regional Charity: Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York
The mission of the Regional Food Bank is to alleviate hunger and prevent food waste. We work toward this mission by ensuring that all products available for donation reach the Food Bank and are distributed judiciously to our member agencies; by practicing responsible stewardship; and by actively participating in the community to increase awareness of hunger and poverty. Troy Boys & Girls Club
Our mission is “to serve the young people of our community by providing safe places and positive programs that enhance their moral, intellectual, social, and physical development”. The Troy Boys & Girls Club has provided over 100 years of service and a safe haven to local youth. We provide local and national programs to Club members ages 5-21 through our After-School Program, Teen Program and at Camp Barker, during summer camp. We are proud to offer a safe place for youth to grow, explore and to develop into productive members of society. The Troy Boys & Girls Club is, “The Positive Place for Kids”. The majority of the children we serve are ethnically diverse from lower socio-economic backgrounds and often, single parent homes. Learn more.
Lansingburgh Boys & Girls Club
From the very beginning, in 1937, the Lansingburgh Boys Club was identified as an agency that could truly make a difference for our youth. Its sole purpose was to give the boys of Lansingburgh a place to gather. Over the past 70+ years, it has expanded into a center serving the needs of not only boys and girls but all the residents of the community. Lansignburgh Boys club provides a healthy environment of social, educational and recreational programs for boys and girls ages 6 to 18. We serve as a community center for many organizations and events. Learn more.
